Installation Technology was chosen to fit out 12 floors of a major London office building – and the installation of 16,000 copper outlets and 3 ½ miles of optical fibre cable completed ahead schedule.
The requirement was for a flexible, robust, resilient network Infrastructure which included high speed and dual redundant fibre backbone, and Category 6 horizontal cabling with a future proof posture. This would cater for up to 5000 users connecting either directly or via a wireless network. It was to be the first roll out of VOIP for this particular user over an entire building. The project once occupied was to become the new flagship location for our client in Central London.
Installation Technology was involved from the very conception of this project and provided a wealth of experience when it came to the design of this particular network. The need for quality was paramount in this project. To achieve this Installation Technology took a bespoke approach to the design and installation, with many innovations being made and where a product was not available off the shelf it was designed and built.
From the very start Installation Technology took a lead in identifying risk and mitigating or resolving that risk before any issues arose. Once work started we operated a 24 hour site system with teams working at night to install the most intrusive phases of our works package. This allowed us to deliver the completed project well ahead of schedule.
