Fixed Networks
Installation Technology has been designing and implementing Local and Campus Area Networks for over 25 years. Our accredited engineers design, deliver and manage all aspects of work related to the fixed environment. We work closely with our customers to create resilient & reliable networks, providing secure access to the applications and content your employees and systems need. From cabling and fire stopping in new build environments, to campus wide fibre developments linking listed buildings at sites such as Kings College London, we’ll deliver the agreed outcomes with the minimum of disruption to your business, on time and to budget. Over time we’ll use data analytics to continuously monitor and assess your network, making appropriate enhancements and adjustments to ensure performance stays in line with the changing demands of your business.

Wireless Networks
From initial site surveys to design, through to implementation, we’ll ensure that we strike the right balance between the overall coverage and performance of your system and the cost of delivery and on-going maintenance. Whether it’s Wi-Fi to provide wireless access to the information your users need or RFID solutions to track items and equipment within your environment, we will design and deliver the right wireless solution to support the needs of your business. As Wi-Fi standards evolve, we will help you navigate the technology to ensure that you can continue to take advantage of the opportunities it can provide. In line with this we delivered Wi-Fi 6 at Kings College London to provide enhanced speed, security and capacity, to staff and students across their extensive campuses.

4G & 5G Networks
Neutral Host Networks – we work with the world’s leading manufacturers to design and deploy shared network infrastructure to reduce cost and maximise performance. We are currently deploying the largest neutral host 4G and 5G network in the UK within the London Underground having previously installed the first public 4G service on the Jubilee Line in 2020. From Private Mobile Radio (PMR) solutions to 4G & 5G private networks, we will provide advice and guidance on the most appropriate cellular solution to meet your requirements. We continue to implement the enabling infrastructure within the London Underground for the UK Emergency Service Network (ESN), one of the world’s largest private networks, a project we started in 2016 . This mission critical network will provide the UK emergency services with voice and data services to improve frontline operations.

CCTV & Access Control
Controlling physical access to your premises is a key part of your security policy. This sector has moved on significantly since we started installing systems over 20 years ago. The latest CCTV systems now provide affordable high-definition images and storage solutions which are IP based allowing images to be observed from any location. CCTV is now commonly linked to your building access control systems to provide a single system to support your company security policies. Real time alerts are now a common function within solution designed to trigger an immediate response to a pre-defined event. This supports an immediate response whilst still recording the occurrence to provide crucial evidence for any future legal action.

Cyber Security
We advise and implement a wide range of security solutions to safeguard the fixed and wireless networks we deploy. We offer 24x7x365 monitoring of client systems, providing near real-time operational visibility of cyber threats. Working with the world’s leading security companies we take a vendor agnostic approach to ensure our solutions are requirements lead and customer focused.

Electrical
NICEIC accredited, Installation Technology has been designing and implementing power solutions for over 15 years. From high power AC solutions to low power solutions to support PoE switches, Installation Technology will design, install and commission a power solution to meet your requirements. Implementing power distribution solutions whilst delivering structured and alarm cabling significantly lowers deployment costs and reduces interruption to business as usual. In line with our carbon reduction plan and our commitment to be net carbon zero by 2035, we ‘design in’ ways to reduce total power consumption for the networks we deploy.

Managed Services
Installation Technology maintains mission critical networks across the Transport, Health and Education sectors. Our field and site-based engineering teams are close at hand to provide preventative and reactive maintenance to keep people and devices connected when incidents occur. Our support centre operates 24x7x365 to co-ordinate incident resolution activities and manage customer engagement until closure following ITIL best practices. We have implemented our machine learning platform, that processes events data from multiple sources, such as network monitoring tools, firewalls and environmental sensors. Combining data sets provides invaluable insight into the entire ecosystem to assist with pro-active interventions to reduce overall incident volumes, preserving network uptime.

Digital Engineering
We have established market leading capabilities in digital modelling to support both in-house and third party projects. Digital modelling provides unparalleled insight into design and delivery to reduce risk and provide more consistent project outcomes. Working with traditional 2D design documentation through to the use of the latest scanning technology, we have become specialists in 3D laser scanning and point cloud processing. The data captured enables the creation of:
• 2D documentation – creation of precise floor plans and elevations to client driven levels of detail.
• 3D models – adding a further dimension to 2D plans, providing greater insight into the planning, delivery and on-going maintenance of a project.
• Building Information Models (BIM) – adding further detail and labelling into models in formats such as Revit (AutoDesk) and AECOSim (Bentley Systems).
• 4D Animation – bringing animation to your 3D models.
